Frank Phillips College is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Community Education Coordinator at the Borger Campus to own, develop, schedule, organize, promote, and report Continuing/Extended Education, Corporate Development, Personal Enrichment, Kid’s College, and Community Services classes and events for industry, community, and local youth.  The ideal candidate will have administrative and professional experience working with oil/gas/chemical/industrial companies as well as community-based non-profit organizations. The skilled candidate will work closely with local businesses and community partners to meet their educational and compliance needs. This individual will also assist with the strategic planning, budgeting, operation, and assessment of all continuing education activities. Administratively, this position will provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to all employees in the Workforce department and other staff. Organizationally, the CE Coordinator works within the Department of EE and CE under the direction of the Dean of Workforce at Frank Phillips College. Ideal candidate will collaborate with the Perryton and Dalhart campuses, including the Perryton and Dalhart Extended Education departments.  This position is set forth to build and maintain a positive, professional seat around campus, in the Borger community, and in our FPC greater service area.  Overall, the CE Coordinator will foster a working relationship between businesses, special organizations, and the college. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field, or professional/relevant experience may be considered, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least two years equivalent work experience in office administration or a related field, strong communication skills, must be able to handle various responsibilities simultaneously, excellent organizational skills, knowledgeable in computer skills to include Microsoft Office, customer service focused.

Travel:

Travel may be required based on opportunities on campuses in Borger, Perryton, and Dalhart. Additional travel will be required to visit area industries and businesses. Nights and weekends may be required.

The department of agriculture is growing and continually offering new and exciting programs for our students.  Providing students with unique, hands-on opportunities is the goal of our department and creating a "destination" for students who seek to acquire these unique skills.  Our department focuses on providing both academic transfer and work force education to help our students reach their goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree with a specialization in animal science, agronomy, or agribusiness; knowledge of production agriculture; willingness to teach a variety of classes with agriculture; strong interpersonal communication skills; and intermediate to advanced computer skills required.
