Through the FPC Development Corporation, you can designate a contribution to an Endowed or Private Scholarship, the General Scholarship Fund, or make an unrestricted gift.
About the FPC Development Corporation
The purpose of the Development Corporation is to strengthen and contribute to the educational mission of Frank Phillips College by seeking, receiving, and distributing gifts, bequests, and donations, and to account for and manage assets submitted to the Corporation on behalf of FPC and the residents of its service area, the top nine counties of the Texas Panhandle.
A non-profit, tax-exempt Texas corporation founded in 1981, the Development Corporation consists of a group of community members who seek to obtain gifts and grants needed beyond the scope of tax-based funding, and to manage and expend these items for the development of Frank Phillips College. The Development Corporation funds are distributed to benefit and advance the College, and for the encouragement and assistance of its students and faculty.
Development Corporation activities include, but are not limited to:
- Community awareness
- Scholarships and loans to students of FPC
- Development of special facilities
- Purchase real estate for the expansion of the college
- Recognition of outstanding educators
- Recognition of outstanding scholarship or leadership
Members of the Development Corporation are the original Board of Directors, or any person, organization, or corporation making an annual gift of $250 or more to Frank Phillips College Development Corporation. A self-perpetuating Board of Directors representing the positive leadership of the community governs the Corporation.

Donate to an Endowed or Private Scholarship
By donating to one of the existing endowed or private (non-endowed) scholarships, you will assist additional students toward attaining their college education. A gift in any amount may be given in honor of and/or in memory of an individual or group.
Donate to the General Fund
By choosing to donate to the General Fund, your undesignated gift provides flexible support for key priorities and emerging opportunities. These funds allow the Development Corporation to make a difference for both students and college programs. A gift in any amount may be given in honor of and/or in memory of an individual or group.
Establish a New Endowed or Private Scholarship
Whether you want to establish a legacy, honor a loved one, or give back to your community, when you establish a scholarship fund with Frank Phillips College you give deserving students the opportunity to pursue their dreams while achieving your own charitable goals.
Your Gift
Your FPC Scholarship Fund may be either Endowed or Private. Endowed Scholarship Funds require a minimum initial gift of $20,000, to be maintained in perpetuity. Private Scholarship Funds may be funded on an annual or semi-annual basis.
Your Choice
FPC will work with you to draft scholarship criteria that meet your specific objectives. Scholarships can be crafted in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:
- Students with demonstrated academic ability and/or financial need
- Students from a particular geographical area (i.e. your hometown, Hutchinson County, etc.)
- Students who graduated from a specific High School
- Students concentrating on a particular field of study
The FPC Scholarship Committee relies on your input to award scholarships from your fund, according to your stated criteria. Many donors also choose to actively participate in the selection of scholarship recipients. You may be involved as much or as little as you prefer throughout the scholarship process.Our Support
FPC provides complete administration of the Scholarship Fund, including publicizing the scholarship, creating, managing and processing applications through our online portal, organizing and convening the scholarship committee to evaluate candidates, and communicating with scholarship recipients.
