Dovel Selected as Next Rahll Campus Provost

Frank Phillips College is proud to announce that Christy Dovel has been selected to serve as the next Provost of the Rahll Campus. Dovel will begin her duties as Provost on June 1, 2022.

Christy and her husband, Robert Dovel, have lived in the Dalhart community for 24 years where they raised their three daughters. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University and her Master’s Degree of Education in Counseling from West Texas A&M University. She began her career in Dalhart as a crisis counselor for 5 years before accepting a position with the Dalhart Independent School District where she has worked as a school counselor for 18 years. The last 6 of those years she has spent at Dalhart High School where she worked very closely with FPC building the Dalhart Dual Credit program. In addition, she has also served as an Adjunct Instructor for FPC’s Learning Framework course.

FPC is thrilled to have Christy join our team. We look forward to the exciting future of the Rahll Campus with her at the helm!
