Housewright Promoted to Dean
Frank Phillips College is proud to announce the promotion of Dr. Byron Housewright to Dean of Instruction. Dr. Housewright was hired as the Director of Agriculture at FPC in 2015 and has served as Associate Dean of Instruction since 2018. During his time at FPC, his commitment has allowed the Agriculture Department to see tremendous growth including the addition of the new Nutrien Livestock Genetics Center. In addition, he is also currently working on approval for a new genetics program certification for FPC students.
“I appreciate the administration and Board of Regents’ recognition and allowing me to do what I love for a career, grow programs and work with students. It has been an absolute pleasure working with all of the faculty, staff and administrators at FPC. I felt as if I was a part of the family from day one and cannot think of a place I would rather be than FPC. The dedication to the college and students shown by everyone on campus is unrivaled which makes so much difference in the success of our students. Watching not only the Agriculture Department grow and evolve but being a small part of the changes college wide has been the most rewarding experience of my career,” said Housewright.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such talented and dedicated professionals like Dr. Housewright at FPC. Please join us in recognizing his accomplishments and congratulating him on his well-earned promotion.
