DESCRIPTION

Frank Phillips College seeks a highly motivated and successful individual to serve as Head Women's Basketball Coach.  FPC is a NJCAA Div. I institution and a member of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC).  The WJCAC is one of the premier junior college conferences in the country and its member schools have produced numerous national championships, All-Americans, and professional athletes.

DUTIES:

Perform all coaching duties necessary for maintaining a competitive women's basketball program.  Be capable of motivating, teaching, and supervising students.  Schedule and maintain office hours as required by College policy.  Assist with advisement and registration of students.  Attend faculty meetings, commencements, and other special meetings called by FPC administration.  Maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.  Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.  A minimum of 5 years coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.  Head coaching experience at the college level is preferred.  Coaching experience at a national tournament preferred.

DESCRIPTION

Frank Phillips College is currently seeking a qualified assistant volleyball coach to assist to field competitive teams and squads by recruiting, awarding scholarships according to budgeted funds and counseling the best available talent within budgeted funds allowed.  The qualified candidate will also assist to administer and manage athletic program by scheduling games and ravel in accordance with NJCAA, WJCAC and FPC guidelines; plan and coordinate with the athletic director, practice sessions with regard to facilities, times, and activities: procure supplies and equipment within budgeted funds; drive team vans or ensure qualified drivers drive team vans or buses; oversee maintenance of facilities as necessary; assist with athletic director in fund raising activities as requested; provide academic counseling to athletes in the program; represent the college in a positive manner at all times.  They will also teach assigned classes by planning and delivering quality instruction in classes assigned by either the Vice President of Academic Affairs, department director, head coach or the athletic director.  Candidates will need to cooperate with all athletic personnel by sharing fairly in the use of facilities, travel, scheduling, and use of the athletic trainer as assigned by the athletic director.  The assistant volleyball coach will contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as determined by the athletic director.

Frank Phillips College TRiO Student Support Services program is searching for a qualified individual who will assist in welcoming students, creating and distributing project marketing material through print and social media, and generating and/or assisting with correspondence, reports, and project and participant files.  Additional responsibilities include TRiO and campus event facilitation and participation, as well as other special project management as assigned by the Program Director. Title IV TRiO Student Support Services is a federally-funded program designed to assist students most at-risk of not completing their college degree (i.e. students who are considered low income by current federal guidelines, first-generation college students, and/or students possessing documented disabilities).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent experience in office administration or a related field required, as well as a minimum of two years’ experience in administrative support.  Candidates should be proficient in MS Office programs, and spreadsheet and database computer applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s Degree. Strong communication skills and self-direction, proficiency in creative software programs or suites, and a background similar to program participants also preferred.

Frank Phillips College is searching for a qualified individual who will assist in the development of instructional programs associated with safety-related grants and safety training programs, supervise and monitor all functions and processes of Frank Phillips College Safety Training enter, develop and maintain relationships with local employers to develop training opportunities and commitments associated with those relationships, coordinate advisory committees and safety training meetings, serve on committees and councils at FPC and in the community, maintain professional and technical knowledge in safety training, and comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements.  This position will also be the NCCER primary administrator for FPC.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional and/or industry experience will be considered.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.  Meet both college and local industry requirements of a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Managerial and/or supervisory experience, ability to lead and direct trainings and presentations, be a team player with strong communication skills, recognized safety/industry certifications a plus, a working knowledge of OSHA, CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), and Labor Laws, a background in Heavy Equipment, and some type of past industry working experience.
