Brazos Winters Wins Bareback Riding - added 4/17/2018
 
Freshman Brazos Winters brings home another title..
 
FPC Rodeo had 3 cowboys representing us In the top 10 championship round at the Ranger College Rodeo hosted in Sweetwater, TX. Freshman Bareback rider Brazos Winters from Texline, TX, took home a top place finish scoring the highest ride of the weekend and earning himself the championship buckle. Freshman Wyatt Hart covered his long round bull for a 6th place finish in the Long round and Average. Sophomore Bryce Batterton from Eads, CO came back 8th in the long round, with a little tough luck in the short round. FPC Rodeos Men’s team placed 6th out of the 17 competing Southwest Region Colleges. Our FPC Rodeo women’s team struggled with many strong runs just falling short of the top 10. Sophomore Baylee Paul & Freshman Risse both placed 1 hole out of the goat-tying; tying their goats in 8.0 second run while a 7.9 second run was the cut off for making it into the championship Round. Sophomore Kassidy Martin made a great run in the breakaway along with teammate Freshman Mary Risse placing them both in the top 20 out of 139 contestant entries. FPC Rodeo will be heading to Snyder, TX April 5-7 for their next College Rodeo. Fight the Fight!
