4-Hit Day For Money As Lady Plainsmen Skirts Past Western Oklahoma State College - added 2/12/2018

Kristen Money did the opposing team no favors on Friday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading FPC to a 9-5 win over Western Oklahoma State College. Money singled in the first, homered in the second, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth. An early lead helped propel FPC to victory. FPC scored on a triple by Aurora Luera, a double by Kymbree Ovalle, a triple by Hannah Hall, and a home run by Money in the second inning. After Western Oklahoma State College scored one run in the top of the fifth, FPC answered with one of their own. FPC answered when Luera doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. FPC pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Luera tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Ovalle doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Hall tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Money homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Money earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for FPC. She allowed five hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out six. FPC saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game.
